열 팽창은 열 휨과 열 응력의 조합에 의해 수용됩니다. 단열 샌드위치판넬은 내부 및 외부 면이 모두 단열재에 접착된 복합 샌드위치판넬이기 때문에 내부 및 외부 면 간에 큰 차이가 없습니다. 단열 샌드위치판넬은 구조에 확실하게 고정되고 샌드위치판넬의 팽창은 선형 팽창이 아닌 열 휨으로 개별 스팬에 분배되어 있습니다. 전체 샌드위치판넬은 크게 늘어나거나 수축하지 않으므로 클립이 있는 단열 금속 지붕 판넬을 설치할 필요가 없습니다. 열 휨은모든 샌드위치판넬 분석 계산에서 이를 허용해야 하므로 적절하게 설계된 지붕에 사용되는 샌드위치판넬의 성능에 악영향을 미치지 않습니다.
이 굴곡을 수용할 수 있는 샌드위치판넬의 능력은 L/180의 편향 한계에서 샌드위치판넬 시편에 양의 하중과 음의 하중을 번갈아 가하는 주기 하중 테스트로 입증됩니다. 일반적으로 테스트에서는 3m 길이의 샌드위치판넬을 사용할 수 있습니다. +/-1.4kg의 주기 하중이 적용됩니다.
